IN MEMORY – DAVID ‘BUTCH’ COWX
It is with profound regret and sadness that I inform you all that Butch Cowx passed away just prior to the Christmas period.
those that knew him will agree that he was a fun loving, larger than life character with a heart of pure gold and I am sure that I speak for everyone when I say that I feel very proud and very privileged to have known him and enjoyed his company and his friendship for many years
Butch was a cherished member of the Hampshire Darts community and lived life to the full with his broad grin and the help of the odd pint or ten!
Butch was always ready to ‘muck in’ where needed whether it be in using his metalworking expertise in building of or modification of darts equipment to using his not inconsiderable strength to its best advantage in moving whatever needed to be moved [including coaches!!]
Butch was a regular supporter of the Hayling Island Mill Rythe darts weekends and had at his disposal a unique mode of transport for getting back to his chalet after any particularly intensive day at the bar – a Tesco trolley pushed by whoever was available at the time!!!!
Butch was a ‘one off’ who has left us all too soon but his memory lives on in the happy times we all shared
Sleep well Butch – we will miss you
Our deepest condolences go to all of his family members
In memory of a genuine and well-loved man
