I am pleased to report another successful and enjoyable weekend at the Away Resorts Mill Rythe Holiday Village, Hayling Island.
This was the 50th Darts weekend staged at the site  and for me it was tinged with sadness as I announced my retirement after covering every event as HCDO Organiser and the reins are now in the safe hands the most capable and lovely Lady – Alex Ede who will, I know, take the weekend on to even greater levels of professionalism.
To say I have enjoyed my 30 years of organising these weekends would be an understatement as they have shown me every year that darts people really are the loveliest people

I pay tribute to each and every one of the hard working Hampshire Officials for the dedication and hard work shown at all times. and their willingness to undertake any duty that will ad to the successes of the weekends.
I thank also the Mill Rythe Staff who cater for all of our needs with special mention of  Bookings Manager Katy Lansley who has been my main contact on site and for whom nothing is too much trouble.
Also retiring is my wife Jenny and our great friends

Barry and Jenny Fenton and whilst none of us want to give up the ravages of time do take their toll eventually
Thank you one and all for the great times you have given us and for the friendships we have made. On a personal note I thank you all for the collection made for me and I assure you it will be put to good use

Welcome Back

Dear Members and Friends of the Hampshire County Darts Organisation

I would like to extend apologies to you all for the enforced absence of this unique reference website and to say welcome back to the ‘NEW’ HCDO Website.

I would like to thank all that have made this possible with special mention to ELEVATEOM.com
for their expertise in resurrecting the website and in getting it up and running.

  • I also thank Helpful Books, Andy Scott, Laura Turner and all others for the invaluable assistance given to me during this process.
  • As we are all aware the Sport of Darts continues to grow at a pace to an extent that it enjoys extensive coverage by TV and the Press Media etc. in all parts of the World which in turn gives opportunities of high profile participation and the accompanying avenues to success for everyone so minded regardless of age.
  • HCDO intends for its members and supporters to be part of that future and as always we will strive to provide the means whereby all ambitions can be nurtured and wherever possible fulfilled.
  • It is the intention to give all sections of HCDO and its Member, Associated and Affiliated Darts bodies a platform on this exciting and broadened updated website in order that all can be made aware of what opportunities are available and how best to source them
  • We will need help to attain these objectives and will welcome input, advice and help from anyone that shares these beliefs and also contact from anyone willing to play an active part in maintaining this website for the benefit of all [see contact details below]
  • As my retirement looms large on the horizon I welcome contact from anyone with a like ambition to assist in serving the players of our County in the beautiful sport of darts and in recognising those players that bring so much Pride to the good name of Hampshire
